Dominican Republic in January.

My wife and some friends and I are going to the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana specifically and I was hoping to get some info. regarding conditions and dive operations that some of you may be able to recommend there. We are staying at the Ocean Blue resort but I am finding it difficult to find much info regarding their dive operation (or lack there of) and would like suggestions. Thank You in advance.

I have never dived Punta Cana but I have dived Bayahibe (which is close) and Samana. Even in January the water should be temperate, but you will need at least a shortie wetsuit. Water is characteristically very clear. However, there is less fish life in DR than other Caribbean islands because, well, because it has all been eaten.

I do love DR diving though; fantastically cheap as Caribbean holidays go.
