    Exclamation SoCal Dive Sites

The list below will link you to threads with information about dive sites and areas in Southern California from the San Luis Obispo/Monterey County Line to the Mexican Border.

These threads are meant for reference information only. If you have specific questions about any of the listed areas or sites, please start a new thread to ask those questions.

Add information about a county and/or a specific dive site by posting to that particular thread.

Here are some things to add. Feel free to add things not on this list!

    • Commercial dive boats in the area for off shore diving
    • Diver friendly accommodations
    • Nearby restaurants & bars
    • Directions to the dive site
    • Dive site level of difficulty for access and entry/egress (easy, moderate, difficult, very difficult)
    • Compass headings, GPS coordinates, lineups, etc.
    • Facilities (Toilets, showers, picnic tables, BBQs, camping, etc.)
    • Dive site photos (both topside and underwater)
    • Suitability of a site for snorkelling/freediving

With your help this can become a valuable reference for new divers and those visiting from outside the area.

    Thanks!

    Exclamation

I've split the list into 2 posts because the list got too long for one post.

Please add your local dive shops (LDS) to the pages linked to by county if you don't see them listed yet.

Also, please add any info you can about the sites we have nothing for yet. Those are marked "Need info."

Yesterday I added more info about 27 sites and have marked those as "updated."

Of course, any info you could add to any of these sites including where the nearest facilities are, pictures of the entry, any hazards at low tide, etc. would be very helpful to anyone visiting these sites.

    Thanks.
