you're cheating, DiverLS. no snuggle buddies allowed on my *solo* trip!
Only exception - new snugglebuddy comes along in next 4-6 weeks before trip or met on trip....

oops - sorry. I did the by myself to Galapagos, Bahamas, Egypt, Pt. Hardy and Cozumel. It just feels so goooood to have one.
Sorry to hijac this post
Seriously, do a small live aboard. Something like the Juliet or a small cat somewhere in the caribbean. You don't have to worry about buddying up with someone and you'll be diving all week long. You'll need to fly to get on the boat, but the rest is paid for on the boat.

no caves there Rob and roommates or the high fees to avoid them. I can't imagine having a great day of diving then waking up to a fuzzy stranger :( ....I love the idea of a live-aboard but won't do it for that reason unless the up charge is small. thankfully many other options. thanks though!

Your original post didn't mention caves. And that's why I said small live aboard. You can sometimes get a single cabin with no upcharge on the boats that only sleep 12 or so.

Correct my OP did not mention caves vut I was surprised Mr. Cave would go somewhere without them! And to salt? It is a good recommendation, thank you.

me? i would go finish cave class in tulum, short of that I would go to anywhere warm , where there are pretty fish, sharks and wrecks. I am quite sure if you posted in all the forums you know of you can find a person whom you can "know" in a short time to trust and dive with. i guess i would advertise UTD or DIR or GUE diver wanted for...fill in the blank.
have fun

I dont know what i am going to do next, but it will be interesting.
