It is so much fun to watch someone who is so completely at ease and at home in the water.

I'm thinking next year's class might be sidemount, just for fun.

Is the rest of your back mount diving for punishment?

(I kinda don't think so 'cuz you look happy to me )

No, my backmount diving isn't punishment! But a sidemount class would be just for the learning and the experience, because I doubt I would use sidemount as a routine setup, at least right now (when my knees fail me, it might be different).

While I'm not an advocate of lazy-boy diving, I find that sidemount is less stress on the body - getting in and out of the water as well as while diving.

After another try of sidemount in MoCal this past weekend, there's little chance I'll make sidemount a habit here. But for Mexico and the caves, it makes a lot of sense.

Last time dove 2 weeks in sidemount, and my body felt much better during and after the trip.

Well done Steve. It's always a pleasure to see someone so at home in the water. Just goes to show how years of dedication, hard work and practice can pay off.
    Take care,
