here are answers to your points
    • Dive Ops - very very many opps from rec, tech, photo, snorkeling, even deeeeeep sea and wreck salvage dives
    • Dive Sites - several established and new resorts/dive tours
    • Accommodation - accomodations range from very good to very primative, one lets you camp out in tent on protected private beach.
    • Restaurants & Bars - too many resos, calendarias, and yes many nite clubs too but best to hang close to your resort if you plan on partying too much...that is a common sense tip anyway
    • Travel to & from - travel is easy by air from cebu or manila. By sea, or even bus from any part of phils, ha ha
    • Medical assistance, including Decompression chambers where applicable - there are multiple hospitals and a decompression chamber 2hrs away.
I am working on getting some pristine beaches and reefs declared protected marine sanctuaries and am inviting select divers to come and do photos and vides as partial barter for their accomodations and dive connections. This is truly lost paradise and untouched, unspoiled diving. Despite the propaganda, there is much safer times here than in my original home in the USA, ha ha ha.

I'd be interested in learning more. I was in GenSan last year and the only choices were Chris Dearne's place in GenSan or Paul Partridge's in Maasin (sp?).
