It wasn’t that long ago that pink fins made their first appearance but apparently the trend caught on. While the last few DEMAs have had their share of pink fins and snorkels, this year truly was the year of pink. Forget fins and snorkels, pink’s made its way into BCs, Regulators, Computers, Watches, Masks, Full Facemasks and just about every other piece of dive gear imaginable.

But don’t let yourself think this was some sort of marketing decision to force pink on the world, time after time manufacturers told us that going pink was the last thing they planned, some even tried to fight it off but apparently the demand was just too strong. The world wants pink so here you have it, the new color of diving… Pink [and oh, there was a fair amount of purple too].



Of course pink wasn’t the only change, we also noticed a lot more equipment designed for women and female focused marketing, and yes most products are available without pink.
