    Default A little teaser.

You know who I am, you will see my brother-in-law and then a new diving friend from Oregon.

I'm currently writing up reports on my system at home but, I can't access it from work for some reason. I'll post them as I finish them.

That's Cozumel viz, all right! You're looking good, Michael.

But I know why you're still upset about your gas consumption. Diving in a tank top and shorts? I'd be out of the water in 20 minutes with blue lips!

nice vis ... but not quite what I expected of their reef. Is that a typical reef system there?

That dive for drifting was nothing. The last dive of the trip, I believe the DM said the current was 2 to 2.5 knots and that was fast. At least my fastest drift dive.

Thanks! First time? You'll love it? 100th time? you will still love it. I had to wait a long 6 months, you can do it too. :P

Thanks Lynne but, I am no where close to where I need to be.

There was a girl that called dives cause she got cold and her lips were literally blue. After every dive, she'd come up and have blue lips, all this wearing a 5m long suit.. haha

Mostly the shallow ones look like that. The deeper ones had better formations and more life (less sand). There is still quite a lot of sand scattered across the reefs. A lot of it looked dead but, slowly coming back to life. I've only dove there since the last big hurricane they had and I really have nothing to compare it to.

I guess our reef systems are the opposite then, denser in the shallows and sparse as you get deeper...

From video I've seen, the shallow reefs in Coz used to have a lot of soft structures -- gorgonians, sea fans and the like. I guess the hurricane did a lot of damage to those, and scattered a lot of sand on the shallow reefs. I think things are quite different from how they used to be.

I enjoyed the clear water and the wall structure in Coz, but I have to say I don't understand why it has the reputation it has as a world-class diving destination.

    Dude,
When you reached out to play with the bubbles I really thought that you were going to hang onto your buddies tank valve and hitch a ride.... I guess not everyone likes riding buddy powered scooters
Today I went to look at Drysuits... and came home with a tube of Aquaseal :(

Actually, I did that to him on a dive later that day. He kept "bustin my balls" about being the first out of water, so I held onto his cam band the next time and figured he'd run out of air first. He caught me.

    Here is another clip:

He ragged me about the SMB too. :\
