Hi All- I'm new to this site. Anyway, I have some suggestions. I was just in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. I stayed at Bunaken Cha Cha Resort and Lembeh Resort. I gotta say, I was totally satisfied and happy with the choices I made.

Bunaken Cha Cha is really great because it is located on Bunaken Island and therefore only minutes away from the dive sites. Cha Cha was an easy, unpretentious and very relaxed atmosphere. The diving in Bunaken National Marine Park is outstanding!

At Lembeh, I stayed at Lembeh Resort. The staff are very accommodating and go out of their way to make every guest's stay as comfortable as possible. The diving at Lembeh is amazing, like nothing youve ever seen. Lembeh is all about underwater photography, I'm not an underwater photographer and thus the resort gave me my own guide.

I'm already plotting my next escape to those halycion tropical shores.

Oh, I agree with you, Lembeh is utterly amazing. I'd go back in a minute. We stayed at Kungkungen Bay Resort and had a WONDERFUL time; it's a beautiful setting, and the lodging and food were fabulous. And being met at the dock with hot tea and cookies was some kind of spoiling.

We also did Bunaken, which was sheer walls with a lot of color and a lot of macro, but I actually liked Lembeh better.

Its great to read positive experiences... I will be spending 6 weeks with 2Fish at their Bunaken Island and Lembeh Island doing my dive masters training... any diver or traveller hints for a newbie to Indonesia??
