    Default Hi!

    Hi guys,
My name is Michelle and I'm back to getting my fins wet after a few years off. I would love to update some of my gear so I'm looking forward to reading any posts with your opinions on the latest fun stuff. Thanks for letting me tag along on your site. =)

Welcome. I took a couple years off for college, and when I got back into it, I was super gung-ho. What sort of gear are you planning on updating. Around here, you will get a lot of recommendations for Backplates, wings, and bungeed backups, so don't get scared off if someone recommends a big honkin piece of metal to replace your BC, they are actually really comfortable.

Hi Michelle, and welcome back into the pool!

As Tom hinted, the best kind of gear for YOU depends a lot on what YOU like to do best when diving.

If you're diving local, what's the water temperature throughout the year?

Do you like pretty fishes or dark and spooky wrecks?

    Wetsuit or dry?
Clear water or "15 feet of vis IS a good day 'round here!"?

What are your best memories of diving, and what brings you back with enthusiasm?

Share what you love about diving, and where you're going to be diving most, and it's likely there will be people here who have experience with optimal gear for the job.

I adore SoCal diving, with water temps in the low 50s eight months of the year.
Out lush water is often green-tinged and the creatures are so deeply camouflaged that I like spending long dives searching out their secrets.
Put it all together and I'm diving nitrox in big high-pressure steel cylinders, wearing a dry suit and carrying a BIG light. It took awhile, but I found the right gear for me.

What do your favorite dives look like?

    Welcome to the Dive Matrix.
Look around and join the fun!
