    Default So Claudette ...

I was out this week-end doing some nice, relaxing diving and I came across this grunt sculpin. Knowing how much humor you find in these exquisite little creatures, I thought you'd enjoy this sequence ...

So here I am ... lining up a basic shot of our little pointy-snouted, split-fin wearing friend, when this hermit crab scurries into the frame as I'm pressing the shutter ... wanting, I suppose, his own five seconds of fame ...

Not content to disrupt my shot, as well as my serenity, he then decides to pose as a hat ...

... then he jumps off, positions himself directly in front of the lens, and just sits there ...

I have to wonder if they knew each other ...

Was it cleaning the sculpin? That's neat. I've never seen anything underwater let something else touch it without getting something in return.

No ... it just jumped on the fish's head then about 2 seconds later it jumped off. The crab was surprisingly quick about it. I'm thinking that it mistook that funny-shaped head for a shell and thought it might make a good home ...

You forgot the "Edward Scissorhands fins" part of the description, Claudette!
