    Default HMS Victoria

Since you like wrecks here are some readings:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Victoria_(1887)

    http://www.cityofart.net/bship/victoria.htm

The truth is that all the fisherman in Tripoli knew the location of the ship, so M.Christian Francis called for the help of M.Mark Ellyat who truly discovered the wreck. M. Mark also claims to have found the sword of Nelson and has put it in a hidden spot on the wreck. See this link http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...shipwreck.html

Fortunately it is forbidden to dive it (people are fighting to see who will have the exclusivity, in fact only 1 person is a pita) and fortunately for the wreck it lays in deep water, the propellers are facing the sky at around 74m and the bow is at 140m. Why fortunately? Because the Lebanese people are very….hem…inclined of having artifact in their living room. And there are a lot of them, she is still intact you can still found plates with the Queen'’s face painted on it.

She is standing up and diving her is like diving a skyscraper, imagine going all the way down and then all the way up.

I’m actually trying to get an authorization, the few last expeditions where a total fiasco but at least they got to dive it…Sooner or later I will what ever the cost.

    This is fantastic!

Thank you for the view from the closest beach.
I could sense from a few online comments there is some animosity between interested parties.

It looks like diving a mountain, a shipwreck, and a skyscraper all at once.

You may not have seen this photo of her before - I got it out of a book from around 1900 on Naval Gunnery that was way back in the Yale stacks

    Surprising photos, Pete!

Thanks for sharing them here. I hadn't seen the one of the guns firing.

    The Slipper looked good!
