More Power.....
Ok, like Tim Allen I crave more power. I have a bucket of DS160s and YS 250s but they don't seem to cut it. I don't really keep up with the industry so I'm not sure where to find the specialty stuff. I realize most folks are shooting macro or close in, but I'm really after underwater cave shots and need to bring some light. I did a particular dive awhile back and only had 4 strobes going at once (2 slaves). I tried again today with 8 strobes (6 slaves) and while the results were much better, it still has some room for improvement.
Is this a pipe dream to get this lit up? A custom job? Which places might be helpful with stuff like this? Are video lights an option? How do you compare a video light to a strobes output? For example my DS 160 says it has 160 watt seconds of energy output. I don't have a clue what a watt second is or how to compare that up against a 50 watt HID light's output or a 200 watt HMI light's output. Just looking for suggestions. Here's a shot from today to illustrate my point. It's a big space to light up, but I'll keep trying.
