Anyone heading up for this? Wife and I are headed up on Sunday ( 5/20) to try diving dry for the first time ever. Looking forward to getting back in the water (it's still been too cold locally for us)

I'm not going this year, but from past experience you want to be the absolute first in line. They start running out of your specific size pretty quickly.
Also, bring your own inflator hose if you can manage it (you can buy little $5 accessory "hats" that make it easy to attach/detach on the drysuit and therefore convert a standard inflator hose to a drysuit one). They run out of those pretty quickly also. They can install it if you bring yours and you're not comfortable with that (it's an easy procedure though).
Finally, if you want to do a second test dive, don't return the drysuit until you are sure they have whatever you wanted to try out in stock. They really do run out quickly. But do return the drysuit as soon as you're sure you won't need it any more, as others are waiting.
I agree with the above, but beware that your inflator hose may not work with the DUI inflators.
My Si-Tech hose will start a free-flow if it's attempted to plug into a DUI Apeks inflator.
Thanks for the tips! I borrowed a spare hose from my dealer today... It's a little short, but better than nothing. Hopefully they'll have enough of the right ones, but I'd kick myself if I can't get in the water because I didn't bring something![]()
Have fun!
We had a decent time. We were pretty much at the front of the line so no hose issues. Made the mistake of not bringing gear down with us at the beginning so going back to get that before suiting up cost us some choice in suits. The TLS350 I dove first was "snug" in places (calves, shoulders) but do-able. The next size up was hard to come by, but I did manage to get into a CLX in the bigger size on the next go -round. My wife only did one dive. She ende up sitting for a while waiting for me to get suited up, and that burnt her out a little bit. She also had some fit issues, so wasn't entirely comfortable.
Glad we did it though. Now was can go back to deciding if diving dry is worth the investment for us
Thanks for all of the tips.

Good to hear. Drysuits are a pain the first time you dive them, even if everything goes well. It's only afterwards when you realize you haven't been shivering in a while.
Then they're fun for dives 5-20. Then they're a pain again when they become semi-dry after dive 20 and you start to learn how to repair the little leaks :-)
