Good to know, thanks. Maybe I can find a replacement spring

The real question is, how do you get the wetnotes back in a full pocket when using drygloves???

    Zip or Velcro?

Zip pockets are easier, as they all have 'stiffeners' - so when they're zipped open, they stay OPEN.

Velcro flap pockets are tougher - and get harder to work the older they get, as the velcro on the flap softens up and the the whole flap becomes floppy.

My trick is this: when you pull out the notes, tuck the flap INTO the pocket. When you're done with the notes, the flap is already holding the pocket 'open'.... the flap now serves as an on-ramp to the pocket, and they slide right in! Take your index finger to the corner of the flap, pull the flap out and then press it down onto the outside of the pocket.

Tucking the flap INTO the pocket assures a clean, quick, one-handed stow every time.

Velcro on my suit. That's a nice trick, I like it. I usually have issues with trying to shove the wetnotes by the backup mask or SMB or whatever else I have in there and it getting jammed up but the flap could be a useful on-ramp like you say. Do you clip off to bungee in the pocket as well or close the flap nice and tight?

Stuff I use goes in the right pocket (Wetnotes)

Stuff I hope to never use goes in the left pocket, in descending order if likeliness of use:

In a bungee loop attached to the back-facing grommet

    • Spare mask, on the bottom
    • Dive Alert on Double Ender
    • SMB / Spool
    • Spare Double Ender
    • On a dedicated stainless steel split ring on the front grommet I clip my wet key and Sensus Pro - so when I get back to the truck I can get to it quickly!

Generally, the ONLY thing in the right pocket is my wet notes. I never clip them in. I have a clip ON them (to assure they're negative), but I never clip them in. I don't even think either of these suits has a loop in the right pocket.
