Default Need recomendation for hotel in Cancun

Because our flight arrives late on the first day and we our flight leaves early on our last day, we need to stay in Cancun the day we arrive and the day before we leave. Our trip is from 5/7-5/14.

Does anybody have a hotel recomendation, hopefully near the airport? We don't need much, A/C & a queen sized bed, no diving there. We will be renting a car at the airport.

Sorry I can't help out on the Cancun hotels, never stayed there and don't go there if we can help it. Don't know where you're staying but even from Tulum it's a 1 1/2 hour easy drive on very good highway, so unless your getting in REALLY late I would just drive to my destination. If there's anything we can do to help out with logistics please let me know.

Most hotels in Cancun are on the same strip. It's not right near the airport, but its a fairly short ride. I believe Scorpio Divers have a link on their website to a service that can get you a discount on Cancun hotels. They found me one for a night a few years ago for ~75. It was clean, safe, and had a/c. Perfectly acceptable for a quick stop over.
