    Default Beached

I am only going to post this here, although I participate in a few other “boards”.

I was recently diagnosed with a common type of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The recovery rate for this is very good, and my case was caught very early, so my expectation for a successful outcome is very high. I have taken some time off work, although I expect to return to work in the next few weeks while I continue chemotherapy.

As a result of this I am temporarily beached, which is too bad since I actually will be missing a few days of diving that was on the horizon for me.

Please keep me in your thoughts, and remember that little lump or sore throat just might actually be serious, mine was.

    Best of luck to you!

I am at the end of a similar medical experience myself! Early diagnosis and really great medical care have gotten me through as I'm sure it will for you!

Oh, Mark, I'm sorry to hear this, but I'm certainly glad you got diagnosed at an early stage, and have a favorable cell type. I have several friends who have had lymphoma and are nearing ten years out without recurrence, so it is very possible to achieve a cure.

Sorry you're beached and that you have to go through chemo, but all things come to an end.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

Positive thoughts are the center of recovery. I know, I've had to use them.

Here's wave after wave of good ones coming at ya! ...that, and chicken noodle soup, will do wonders, I'm sure.

    Chin up!

    All the best, James

Sorry to hear that. I got beached about 15 years ago and it took me out for over a year. Boy did it feel good to get back in the water and breathe through that regulator. Hope you get the same feeling.
