I dont know anyone else that's had that issue. Mine lasted four years no issues and I never saw a leak in a turbosole.

I have one of those inner-tube floats that some instructors use for classes taking up space in the garage.
Its quite old but I believe it holds air and it is FREE (and yellow)

Only downside is...

Its very bulky. Generally thats the tradeoff. thinsulate means bulk means more lead but means warm.
They claim the new mega-undergarments (forgot their name but its the Whites ? ) dont need the lead...

as far as I know, focus "locking" should be independent of shutter speed, especially on a DSLR

Lynne, there are many reasons focus cannot be obtained, the shutter speed I dont think will really directly relate to whether the camera Thinks it is in focus, but issues like available...
