I am a dive bum living in one of the dive meccas of the world, the kelp forests of Santa Catalina Island off Los Angeles. My life revolves around diving (most years I do 300-325 dives), filming marine life, and editing the video into two cable TV programs ("Dive Dry with Dr. Bill" and "Munching and Mating in the Macrocystis (Giant Kelp)." I also produce educational DVD's on marine life (20 currently available... see my web site), and write a weekly newspaper column ("Dive Dry with Dr. Bill") with 400+ columns archived on my web site for your reading pleasure.
